Stay The Night: Manchester’s Cutest Airbnb
A couple of months ago I finally headed up north to Manchester after crushing hard on many Manc ladies Instagram feeds – and it didn’t take long before I too wanted to move to the bustling city. In fact, it took about three seconds from walking through the front door of Laura’s super stylish apartment to fully convince me of this.
Located a short tram ride away from the city centre in the uber cute West Didsbury, in amongst leafy streets and independent cafes, was this hidden gem…
As a firm believer that in a past life I was most certainly a sloth, I’m a sucker for a good bed set-up.
Example A: the squishiest marshmallow of a bed you ever did rest your head on. I’d be lying if I said the first thing I did after a six hour Megabus journey wasn’t to jump in this baby for a good hour. As a gal who unashamedly enjoys an early night, it was also extremely tempting to cut exploring the city short during our stay knowing that this was what was awaiting us upon our return.
Just look at that wood/cheeky cactus combo there… DREAM.
Another factor high up on my dream home list: exposed brick. Is this little corner of the world ticking all your boxes yet?!
No joke – at the time of staying here I was flat-hunting for myself, and shortly after leaving was on the phone to our estate agents adding wooden flooring and exposed brick to our list of must-haves. All about those textures.
I mean, just look at this beaut dark wood throughout – doesn’t it just make you swoon?
Be still, my IKEA loving heart.
The flat was kitted out with everything we needed for our stay, including SMEG fridge, washing machine, and all cooking/dining accessories.
But if you didn’t want to stay in, a short walk (literally to the end of the street) away brought you to Burton Road where you’d find a lovely selection of independent shops, cafes and bars – including a bar owned by an ex-Manchester City star (if you’re into that).
And after all our exploring, I made a little time for this…
Gotta make time for that #bathtublove. Amiright?
When we did manage to drag ourselves our of this little haven and into the city we’d actually come to see, we hit up a few highlights:
Favelas (Northern Quarter): for this delish spicy prawn/neon light getup.
Alberts Schloss: because how can you NOT get in on this currywurst and palma violet gin situ?
And a little bit of this Leaf on Portland Street waffle action…
Oh Manchester, I’ll surely be back!
Especially now I know this adorable little space is there to welcome us back.
